BASE Training & Certification
Beginning in 2024, BASE Training will be a required part of the annual Little League Volunteer Application, along with the annual background check. The training must be completed before any individual can assume any duties for the current season, including District Administrators and Assistant District Administrators.
Instructions
1. Navigate to the BASE Training & Certification page by clicking on the link above, or by entering this address: https://usabdevelops.com/my-account/certs
2. Choose the “Register” option at the bottom of the screen to create a new account
2A. Select “Little League International” in the “Little League – Local Leagues” selection box. Click on “Join” once selected.
2B. Nothing needs to be selected in the “Organizations” selection box
3. Once registration is complete, sign in to your account and navigate to “Certifications” under “My Account”.
4. Select “BASE Compliance” and then select “Enroll” on the next screen.
5. Once enrolled, click on “My Courses” from the left-hand menu, then click on “Go to Course” on the following screen.
6. After completing the “Abuse Awareness for Adults” training module, navigate to “Certifications” located in the left-hand menu.
7. Select “View Details” under “BASE Compliance”
8. Click on the dropdown arrow next to “Abuse Awareness for Adults”
9. Select “Download Certificate”
10. Print the certificate and provide to Matt Waldrop or Travis Johnson. Also, be sure to save a copy of the certificate for your records.
